A cricket umpire has expired in Israel after being hit with a ball, only two days subsequent to the departure of Australia batsman Phillip Hughes.
The casualty is understood to be Hillel Oscar, a former captain of the Israel national side who had been officiating in a domestic match in Ashdod.
