The England and Wales Cricket Board have offered six players a principal contract for the very first time after unveiling a 12-guy list on Thursday.
Moeen Ali, Gary Ballance, Jos Buttler, Chris Jordan, Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes will be the newest lads – all having figured in Tests this summer as well as in competition to play in the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand early next year.
