Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal made his return to competitive cricket on Friday and hopes to play in next year’s World Cup.

Sri Lanka"s Kumar Sangakkara handed ICC fine for dissent

Sri Lanka wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee from their victory over England on Saturday.


The International Cricket Council (ICC) imposed the penalty after deciding Sangakkara was “showing dissent at an umpire’s decision”.

Australia batsman David Warner and India pair Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli have been fined by the International Cricket Council after incidents during the fourth day of the first Test in Adelaide.


Warner and Dhawan clashed after the former was bowled by a Varun Aaron no-ball.

Prosper Utseya cleared to bowl by ICC but Zimbabwe player cannot use offspin deliveries

Zimbabwe bowler Prosper Utseya continues to be cleared to bowl in international cricket yet again, providing he doesn’t bowl whirl.


The 29-year old was suspended by the International Cricket Council in October but the verdict has been overturned enabling him to play in the World Cup which begins in February.

Pakistan will start restorative work on Mohammad Hafeez’s bowling action promptly after it had been deemed illegal by the International Cricket Council.


The off-spinner was reported within a Test match against New Zealand last month, and following evaluations in England found his activity violated the ICC’s limitations on elbow extension.

Prohibited spin pair Sachithra Senanayake and Kane Williamson happen to be cleared to bowl again the International Cricket Council (ICC) have said.


The Sri Lankan off-spinner as well as the New Zealand part time bowler were prohibited in July within the governing body’s clampdown on players with suspect bowling actions.

ICC chairman Narayanaswami Srinivasan cleared in Supreme Court ISL corruption probe

International Cricket Council chairman Narayanaswami Srinivasan has been cleared of any wrongdoing in relation to allegations of corruption in the Indian Premier League Twenty20 competition.


Srinivasan had been relieved of his duties as the country’s cricket board president during the course of the investigation.

The Supreme Court of India has revealed the names of 13 individuals being investigated in the probe, including ICC chief N Srinivasan – arguably the most powerful man in cricket.

Cricket: Communications between third umpire and on-field officials to be broadcast

Communications between the on-field and television umpires will be broadcast during Australia’s upcoming one-day series against South Africa, which starts on Friday, live on Sky Sports.


The trial has been approved by the International Cricket Council and will allow television viewers to hear the umpires discussing referrals, consultations and DRS (Decision Review System) player reviews.

Azhar Mahmood sure Twenty20 is not a threat to Test technique

Former Pakistan all-rounder Azhar Mahmood does not believe Twenty20 cricket is a threat to Test and one-day cricket.


The 39-year-old, speaking at the launch of the International Cricket Council’s nine-day camp in the United Arab Emirates for emerging players to learn how to play the shortest format of the game, feels it is not harming the youngsters’ batting techniques.

Saeed Ajmal on course to correct action ahead of Cricket World Cup, according to PCB chairman

Pakistan say off-spinner Saeed Ajmal is on course to have his action cleared ahead of next year’s World Cup.


Ajmal had his action declared illegal – because his elbow extension is more than twice the allowable limit of 15 degrees – and he was suspended on 9 September by the International Cricket Council.

Derbyshire have received planning permission from Derby City Council to start the initial phase of growth in The 3aaa County Ground.


The Gateway Centre section of the earth can be a cricket center of superiority and pavilion, while work begins by the end of the season to enhance facilities in the Lund Pavilion.

Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal expects to play in next year’s World Cup after getting a rehabilitation programme in the National Cricket Academy.


Ajmal has been suspended by the International Cricket Council after his elbow extension was discovered to be more than twice the allowable limit of 15 degrees during testing of his bowling action in Australia last month.

A report into Saeed Ajmal’s bowling action has shown his elbow extension was more than double the legal amount of toleration.

Bangladesh seamer Al-Amin Hossain will have action tested by the ICC

Bangladesh seamer Al-Amin Hossain has become the latest cricketer to be reported to the International Cricket Council (ICC) for using a suspect bowling action.


Al-Amin, 24, will now undergo ICC testing within 21 days and will remain available for international matches until the results of the tests are announced.

Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has been suspended from bowling with immediate effect by the International Cricket Council after he was found to have an illegal bowling action.


A statement on Tuesday confirmed that all 15 of Ajmal’s deliveries were deemed illegal during analysis by the ICC’s accredited team of Human Movement Specialists at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane on August 25.
