ECB recruits Andy Hurry and Raph Brandon for National Cricket Performance Centre

The England and Wales Cricket Board has recruited Andy Hurry and Raph Brandon for essential jobs in the National Cricket Performance Centre at Loughborough University.


Dash, who’s now Manager of High Performance at Somerset, continues to be named as the newest Head of the England Development Programme (EDP).

Derbyshire given go ahead for earth development

Derbyshire have received planning permission from Derby City Council to start the initial phase of growth in The 3aaa County Ground.


The Gateway Centre section of the earth can be a cricket center of superiority and pavilion, while work begins by the end of the season to enhance facilities in the Lund Pavilion.

New man-made wicket to help Australia batsmen make do on whirling pitches in India

Australia have constructed a real-based man-made ‘slow path’ at its National Cricket Centre to train batsmen to handle the twist pitches of the subcontinent.


And Australia are even investigating the options of transport in land from India in a bid to recreate the slow paths which are well suited for spin bowlers.

Cricket: Saeed Ajmal"s bent elbow surpassed limit by a lot more than twice

A report into Saeed Ajmal’s bowling action has shown his elbow extension was more than double the legal amount of toleration.


The Pakistan off-spinner continues to be suspended from all cricket by the International Cricket Council following testing in the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane last month.

"Saeed Ajmal faces huge challenge to remodel his action before the World Cup"

Pakistan’s Saeed Ajmal will find it tough to correct his illegal bowling action before next year’s World Cup, says Nick Knight.


Ajmal has been banned from cricket by the International Cricket Committee after analysts at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane found that he straightens his arm by more than the permitted 15 degrees in all the deliveries he bowls.

Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has been suspended from bowling with immediate effect by the International Cricket Council after he was found to have an illegal bowling action.


A statement on Tuesday confirmed that all 15 of Ajmal’s deliveries were deemed illegal during analysis by the ICC’s accredited team of Human Movement Specialists at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane on August 25.
