Leicestershire’s former director of cricket Phil Whitticase has left the club, ending a 31-year association with the county.
The 49-year-old started out at Grace Road as a teenage wicketkeeper and made his debut in 1984, the start of a 12-year playing career, spanning 132 first-class matches.

Former New Zealand cricketer Chris Cairns has been charged with one count of perjury, the Metropolitan Police have supported.
The charge relates to the 2012 libel case which saw Cairns given £90,000 after he sued Lalit Modi, the former commissioner of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
