Security standards for helmets in county cricket are set to be greater than ever next season but players’ leader Angus Porter has warned the threat to batsmen WOn’t ever be entirely removed.

Professional Cricketers’ Association chief executive Angus Porter has apologised for attempting to play down the abuse suffered by England’s Moeen Ali.
